Kathmandu— Currently, the primary influence on the weather across the country is the partial effect of local winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Meteorological Forecasting Division, both maximum and minimum temperatures are rising in most parts of the country. Additionally, partial cloud cover is present in the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province, while the rest of the country is experiencing mostly clear weather.

During the day, partial to moderate cloud cover is expected in the hilly regions of the country, while the remaining areas will experience mostly clear weather with some partial clouding. Light rain with thunder and lightning is possible in a few areas of the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few places in the rest of the country. In the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in a few areas.

At night, partial to moderate cloud cover is expected in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will see mostly clear weather with some partial clouding. Light rain with thunder and lightning is possible in a few areas of Koshi, Madhesh, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few places in the rest of the country. Light rain and snowfall are expected in one or two areas in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
