Kathmandu— The Medical Education Commission (MEC) has initiated the online preference selection and matching process for enrollment in the postgraduate (PG) level under the open category for the upcoming academic session.

After the previously scheduled timeline was postponed, the commission has provided a new time frame for online preference selection from 7:00 PM on Jestha 12 to 5:00 PM on Jestha 18, 2082.

Eligible candidates can log in to the commission’s website at https://entrance.mec.gov.np/ to set or edit their preferences for educational institutions and academic programs. The matching process will be carried out by a computerized system based on the candidate’s merit ranking, selected preferences, and seat availability.

The result of the first round of matching will be published on Jestha 21. The commission has urged all candidates to carefully select their preferred institutions and programs and to ensure that their preferences are submitted within the given deadline.
