Kathmandu – Dr. Ramesh Koirala, Head of the Cardiovascular Department and Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Bansbari, has resigned from his position.
Dr. Koirala made his resignation public on Tuesday through the social media platform X, stating that his decision will be effective from Ashoj 30, 2082 BS. Currently in the United States, he said he would be unable to return to the centre before that date.
In his resignation letter, he requested the management to approve his resignation effective from Ashoj 30 and inform the governing committee accordingly.
Expressing his emotions, Dr. Koirala said it was a bittersweet moment for him, leaving behind his skills, his country, and his profession all of a sudden.
