
Kathmandu— The 8th edition of the “Symposium cum Talk Show” begins today at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan. The Parikrama Student Family organizes the two-day event, with support from the Student Welfare Society and the Junior Welfare Society.
The first day features an opening session followed by two interactive discussion panels. The first session will focus on “Digital Wellbeing: The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health,” and the second will explore “Balancing Freedom of Speech and Community Sentiments: Where Should We Draw the Line?”
Saturday, the program will begin at 9:10 AM with several presentations, followed by the first session titled “Safeguarding Healthcare: The Impact of Abuse on Health Workers, Healthcare Systems, and the Future Workforce.” The second session will be “Chasing Dreams: Evolving Challenges and Opportunities in a Country Like Ours.”
The event brings together distinguished guests, including Member of Parliament and former Education Minister Sumana Shrestha, former Vice Chancellor of Karnali Academy of Health Sciences Dr. Mangal Rawal, writer Kedar Sharma, Ganesh Lath, Bhushita Vashistha, comedian Adarsha Kumar Mishra, singer Lochan Bhattarai, travel influencer Kanchan Rai Ghumante, as well as doctors, journalists, and other prominent figures.
