Kathmandu— Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister, was injured after slipping in the bathroom at his residence in Khumaltar last night, his daughter Ganga Dahal has informed.

According to her, Prachanda was immediately taken to Mediciti Hospital for treatment following the incident. He sustained a minor external injury on his forehead and required stitches.

“Last night, my father slipped in the bathroom and sustained a minor injury on his forehead. He was taken to the nearby Mediciti Hospital for a routine checkup and has now returned home. He has resumed his regular activities. We thank everyone for their concern and well wishes,” she stated.

Prachanda is currently at rest, and his condition is reported to be normal, according to his secretariat.
